The winner of the USA and World competitions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after a lot of struggle and sheer patience. Jones was the sole child of a five-child family who lived in a slum. She was constantly moving around, and had even lived in a basement church for a brief period of time. Jones had to be moved into a new school every the year until she reached her high school years due to her nomadic nature.
